ABOUT THE SANCTUARY

Nestled at the base of the foothills in Palm Desert, California The Sanctuary offers all who enter its rustic gates the opportunity to relax and create space in their lives for rest and reflection.

Originally the estate of famed Hollywood personality Phil Harris (best friends to Bing Crosby, who’s own estate lay next door), the property was lovingly restored in 2003. Its distinctive Spanish architecture and 17th century  antiques reflect the rich heritage of Southern California.

Set on one acre of land, and privately enclosed by adobe styled walls, it is a beautiful desert oasis of rock lined paths that wind their way through green lawns, palms, and fruit trees. The Sanctuary offers plenty of room to spread out and find quiet spots for private conversations and personal contemplation while maintaining a cozy atmosphere for retreat guests to meet together for times of teaching, small group discussion, and to share meals together.
